EC: The Apothecary 0.5 Public Release

The next version of Endara Chronicles: The Apothecary is here!

Find the downloads right here in the devlog for all platforms. The full size of the download is around 1.51 GB, though the itch.io might say that it's a full two gigs. There's a changelog devlog to show all that's been changed for 0.5, and there's been two weeks of full beta testing on this to make sure there are no errors. However, if you do find one, please feel free to come by the Discord and let me know. Even typo errors are encouraged to be reported.

If you are a previous player, you might have noticed there was some "lag bloat" when you got into the game when making choices or moving around to places. This was due to some bloat-y code that has been fixed/removed, however this lag bloat is saved within the save files of previous versions. Due to this, if you find the lag aggravating, it is suggested you begin a new save file. If it doesn't matter to you, then you don't need to restart. The condition will not get worse with previous saves, but will continue to have the same amount of lag bloat.

If there are any errors found and fixed, a patch file will be uploaded for PC/Mac/Windows versions. Android versions will be reuploaded if it is deemed necessary due to major gameplay or function issues.

Enjoy the game and warm day!

Quite a decent game so far, it's unfortunate that it hasn't received much attention.

Thank you for the praise.

I'm still learning about how to promote, and it's not easy being a "one-man-band" as everything falls on my shoulders. I'm hoping it will continue to expand in certain circles and take off, but in the meantime, it's been a blast putting together the story and learning how to do all of this.

281 days later I'm still keeping an eye on progress, still an underrated game and I still love it, take your time, doing a game like this alone is crazy enough, don't burn yourself out.

Burn out is a real thing, but it's not happening here. It's a combination of RL factors that never seem to stop. I'm working on getting out of my "main" job to focus completely on developing. There's just a lot of steps for someone in my situation. 0.9 is getting worked on.
